Nikolas "Niko" Daniel Adegbajumo Omilana, born on March 4, 1998, in Staffordshire, England, is a British YouTuber, comedian, and social media influencer renowned for his parody videos, comedic sketches, and pranks. He is the founder of the Niko Defence League (NDL) and a member of the Beta Squad, a collaborative group of YouTubers. ​

Niko was born to an English mother and a Yoruba Nigerian father. Following his parents' divorce, he was raised in Staffordshire alongside his two full sisters, two paternal half-siblings, and a maternal half-sister. His diverse heritage and upbringing have influenced his unique comedic style and content creation.​

Beginnings and Rise to Fame

Niko created his YouTube channel on June 21, 2011, at the age of 13. He began by uploading comedy skits, parodies, and challenge videos. In an October 2019 interview, he cited British YouTuber KSI as his inspiration for starting content creation on YouTube. ​

In May 2018, Niko gained significant attention with his video titled "UNDERCOVER As A RACIST For 24 HOURS," where he infiltrated an English Defence League (EDL) protest to mock and expose the organization's supporters. This bold approach to addressing social issues through humor became a hallmark of his content. 

Beta Squad and Collaborative Projects

In 2019, Niko co-founded the Beta Squad alongside fellow YouTubers Chunkz, AJ Shabeel, Sharky, and KingKennyTV. The group moved into a £4 million mansion in London to create collaborative content, further expanding their reach and influence on the platform. ​

2021 London Mayoral Campaign

In April 2021, Niko announced his candidacy for the Mayor of London election. Running as an independent candidate under the Niko Defence League (NDL) banner, he aimed to engage younger audiences in political discourse. His campaign, characterized by satirical and humorous elements, resonated with many, leading to a fifth-place finish with nearly 50,000 votes. ​

2024 General Election Candidacy

Niko extended his political involvement by standing as an independent candidate in the 2024 General Election for the Richmond and Northallerton constituency. Despite his efforts, he secured only 160 votes, placing eighth. ​

Personal Life and Interests

Niko stands at an impressive height of 6 feet 6¾ inches (200 cm). He maintains an active presence on social media, with approximately 3 million followers on Instagram as of July 2024. His content often blends humor with social commentary, reflecting his commitment to entertaining and educating his audience.​

Recent Activities

In March 2023, Niko collaborated with American YouTuber JiDion for a series titled "The Biggest Menace," where they challenged each other to execute various pranks. One notable episode involved sneaking a portrait of JiDion next to the Mona Lisa in the Louvre, leading to JiDion's arrest by French authorities.
